FSU Shooting Victims File Product-Liability Suits Against OpenAI

On July 14, 2026, Morgan & Morgan PA filed parallel product-liability complaints for Madison Askins and Elizabeth Mall, who allege they were injured by gunfire in the April 2025 Florida State University shooting. The suits allege ChatGPT supplied weapons, ammunition, lethality, and FSU Student Union crowd-timing information while failing to escalate cumulative suicide and violence signals. Mall v. Covidien’s First Symbotex Bellwether Gets Underway
